Deft Racing 2G fiberglass hood

I bought this a couple years ago to use on the Spyder, but I've decided to stick with the stock hood after all. It is a stock-type replacement, no special vents or styling changes. Note that there are no hood strut holes, so you cannot use hood struts unless you figure out a way to install inserts o...

Re: 2018 All Mitsubishi Cookout and Car Show

Looks like the date you picked actually lines up with a time that I'll be home and available. Nice! Now, to finish the Spyder.... It is getting really close to complete, hopefully starting it up this weekend and then it'll need tuning for all the new craziness under the hood. ;) The hard part will b...

Gauges - Wideband and Boost

I've got a few extra gauges that I bought, but never installed - so these are brand-new in box. The boost gauge was for my '91 VR4 drag car project that was never finished, and the wideband I got before I changed my plans on the Spyder and went with gaugeless widebands since I now am back on the AEM...

Re: Polymer type clear coat treatments

Jesse had the permanent Opti-Coat on his maroon Stealth the last year he brought it to the Cookout. It looked great, but his car always did so it is tough to know how much was the coating and how much was the detail underneath. I used the Zaino stuff on the Spyder, Eclipse, Avalanche, and Prius and ...

Polymer type clear coat treatments

Anyone used either Opti-Coat 2.0 or CQuartz on any of their cars? I'm thinking about getting the Opti-Coat on my Stingray, and maybe on the Spyder when it is all back together. I've read some reviews, but it is always good to hear firsthand experiences too. http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/produc...

Re: Pearl paint rust repair

Lamettry's in Maplewood was able to match the white diamond 3-stage pearl on my Avalanche perfectly. They've always done good work for me, and my Spyder will be going to them to match the new front bumper to the white pearl on the car. They won't be cheap, but they'll do it right.

I've got the date on the calendar, but the Spyder won't be done yet. I guess I'll just *have* to drive the Stingray instead... 8)

Re: 1992 Stealth RT TT

The best recommendations start with knowing what your power goals are for the motor. That makes a big difference in which parts you should use. The "best" parts would be Pampena Motorsports billet rods, Pampena forged 3.1 pistons, and the upgraded Pampena wrist pins. Stock forged crank works great t...

Re: 98 3000gt front bumper

White Bear Mitsubishi can order them, and then you wouldn't have to pay extra for shipping like you would with some of the other usual 3/S vendors. They come in red only. Prices were fairly competitive against the other vendors when I got my '99 front, and a great deal when considering not paying sh...
