I just got pulled over for no front plate on the way to work at 3:30am on wednesday. Third time in 3 years. Funny I drove the car for the first 4 years I had it year-round with no front plate and no issues. Then I got stopped by a local cop for it (just a warning), so I put it on. Then last summer, I took it off a few days before I was getting the bumper painted and got stopped by a trooper (just a warning). Then after I got the bumper painted I still didn't put it back on. Then I got nailed yesterday morning by a local cop, again with a warning. So, back on it went. Wow I hate how it looks...... :(

I would register my R/T for collector plates, but I drive it for "daily transportation needs", only on nice days in the summer, but still too often to have collector plates on it and get away with it. John's car is driven more for cruises/shows ect so he might be able to get away with it. But we take his to St cloud 4 times a month to run errands, so I'm sure he'd get nailed eventually. /rant

Sorry to reply to a year old thread but I'm trying to get Minnesota collector plates on my 95 Stealth RT Turbo and need to know who to contact to get the production numbers letter. I can't find anyone at Chrysler to contact and Mitsubishi USA told me to contact Chrysler. Can anyone assist? I went to the DMV already and they processed it all but they sent me a letter saying I need to send them a letter from the manufacturer.

I believe I went through the Chrysler customer service website: http://www.chrysler.com/webselfservice/ ... /index.jsp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Click on customer assistance and send them an email.

I did this and several other local 95 and 96 Stealth owners did this. But I know some of the last people who did it had a hard time getting Chrysler to send them anything. Good luck!

later,
Curt

Just got done filing out the paperwork to get my Spyder collector plates. The DMV was painful, but worth it. :)

My Spyder now qualifies for WI Collector plates, but they are so damn ugly that I'm not going to do it.

Yuck!

The alternative is a WI Hobbyist plate:

Ummm... No.

Ugh. Guess they don't want people getting these plates, eh?

That's why I didn't do it.

The Minnesota plates are kind of plain, but I agree that the Wisconsin plates are pretty ugly. I guess if you are a die hard Packer fan you might like the green and yellow ones. :)

I actually looked at the Haley Davidson plates, as they match the car better, but I'd loose one character for the HD logo.

Just filed the papers for the '94 and the '95! The personal plates we already have on those cars transfered autimatically. That was nice.

Great to hear. I wonder if they'll be here before the Cookout?

I did my Spyder collector plates this Spring and it was about six weeks. So it might be close.

I got collector plates on my 93 back a few years ago. It took 2 months to get the plates. You have the option of opting to have 1 plate or two, but if you get two plates, you have to install both plates.
