MAC video question

Post by Ray » Tue Jul 10, 2012 3:26 am

I have a G5 PPC with OS 10.5.8. Flash is no longer supported for this OS and I cannot watch most videos-even youtube stuff. Any ideas/alternatives, other than buying a newer computer?

I have always been able to live with older computers/electronics up until now.

Does an older version of Flash work? Apple tends to enforce obsolescence of older architectures pretty strictly, and PPC Macs are pretty old nowadays. From a quick googling, it looks like a lot of people have been able to install v9 of the Flash player and have it work.

Get a third-party version of flash, I know you can do this in linux.

Or perhaps a workaround: ... werpc.html" onclick=";return false;
